Here you'll find any holidays, school closures, and parent/teacher/student conference dates specific to our Kindergarten learners.

School Fees & Supply lists have not yet been determined for 2025-26 school year, please stand by!

Transportation

If your child will need bus transportation to/from school in September please fill out the school bus registration for next year and a bus package will be mailed to you in August.

Your child needs to be registered to ride the school bus to and from school. 

  • Your child must have a bus pass to ride the bus! During the first weeks of school it can take up to five (5) days to process a school bus registration.
  • Special needs routes are not published as they are child specific. Please call 403.678.5545 to check on the pick/drop times for your child. 
  • The winter months can bring bus disruptions- Please make sure you check the bus status before sending your child to the bus stop.  If buses are cancelled in the morning they will be cancelled in the afternoon.  Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather in case of a mechanical breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances.

Kindergarten Families

  • CRPS operates a First Ride Program for first-time riders, called Little Rockies Bus Adventure - details are provided below. 
  • The first day of kindergarten is staggered over the first week of school. Buses DO NOT run on staggered entry days. You will be required to drop off and pick up your child on their first day.
  • The first bus day for the kindergarten school bus will communicated to families directly.

Little Rockies Bus Adventure!

ERS families - Tuesday August 26th at 6pm

Ensure your Kindergarten child is prepared for their first day of school by participating in Canadian Rockies Public Schools’ (CRPS) Little Rockies Bus Adventure First Ride Program!

The purpose of this first ride program is to introduce Kindergarten students and their parents to the CRPS school bus experience.  The Little Rockies Bus Adventure serves several important objectives.

Transportation Registration & Info

*Please note that younger siblings are welcome to stay with parents/guardians at the school while the bus goes around the block, but they are unable to go on the bus with their older siblings as the buses aren't equipped with car seats. 

Red Rock Pizza Days

ERS' Parent Council organizes a school fundraiser each year with local company, Red Rock Pizza, for all students. 

Families that choose to participate will have a couple pieces of delicious Red Rock cheese, pepperoni or Hawaiian pizza delivered to your child(ren) every other Wednesday (approx. 20 lunches) Some dietary considerations can also be made.  

The program cost and pizza days will be confirmed in the fall, and you can choose to participate, or not at that time.  

Settlement Services

Settlement Services provides Permanent Residents of Canada, Live-In Caregivers and Refugees with the support they need to settle in the Bow Valley.

Family Connection Centre

The Family Connection Centre is dedicated to building connected and resilient children, youth, and families through strength-based programming. All programs and services are free, and we welcome referrals from community partners and organizations for any parenting-related challenges or concerns. As a central hub for families, we provide a safe space to land when you’re unsure of what you need.

Individual and Family Supports

The Family Connection Centre provides one-on-one support through our dedicated Family Support Workers. This free service is available to all Bow Valley families either virtually or in person. Our team works with families to identify needs, set goals, and build capacity.
