*Individual photo retake day - please make sure to let your child's teacher know if they need retakes, as they will only be sent down for photos if the teacher is aware.
SCHOOL FEES
We are still in the process of planning field trips for the year and determining field trip fees. Please stay tuned for an update on school fees.
2025 TERRY FOX RUN
As some of you may have seen on our Facebook page, our ERS families gave from the heart for the Terry Fox Foundation this year! A school best for donations!
Over $5000 was raised for The Terry Fox Foundation (click to see how your dollars help!) and, as promised, Mr. Wityshyn dyed his hair BLUE to celebrate your generosity.
APPLE/PEAR FUNDRAISER - PICK UP DAY
**Volunteers Needed – Apple/Pear Delivery Day: Thursday, October 9th**
We’re looking for a few volunteers to help on delivery day!

Delivery Truck unloading- On-Call position
Help is needed to unload boxes from pallets and sort them by apple variety. This is an on-call position—we’ll contact you once we know the driver’s arrival time, then you can pop over to the school and lend a hand! -
Handing out orders (at 3pm)
Additional help is needed to assist with handing out boxes to families.
REMINDER FOR PARENTS
As a reminder, we ask that students not bring cash or valuable items (including special toys) to school as they could be lost or damaged. Please make sure to let your kiddos know that those special things stay at home.
CALL OUT FOR DONATIONS

LOOKING FOR DAILY AND SUBSTITUTE LUNCH SUPERVISORS
ERS is looking for daily and substitute lunch supervisors to work as needed on Monday to Friday (full day Fridays only) from 10:00am-1:00pm for the 2025-26 school year.
Duties include the following:
- Supervision of students in classroom settings and outside during recess
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal (assisting teachers with classroom prep i.e. cutting, laminating, assistance in the library)
An RCMP Criminal Record check will be required as per the Canadian Rockies Public School policy. References are required. Only candidates to be interviewed will be contacted. Please submit a resume and letter of intent to:

VOLUNTEERING
Elizabeth Rummel School loves and greatly appreciates all of our volunteers! We require all volunteers who help in the school or on field trips to complete a Criminal Record Check through the RCMP. The Criminal Record checks expire one year from the issue date. Prior to volunteering, please email your legal name to the school office at ers.info@crps.ca or to your child’s teacher, to request an RCMP Fee Waiver Letter and we will email it to you. Please note it can take up to a week to get the check back from the RCMP.

2025 SCHOOL BOARD TRUSTEE ELECTION
Becoming a school board trustee for Canadian Rockies Public Schools (CRPS) is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on education and community development. Trustees are advocates for students, stewards of public funds, and vital connections between the school division and the community. Elected every four years under the Education Act and the Local Authorities Election Act, trustees are entrusted with governance responsibilities that ensure students receive a high-quality education reflecting local values and needs.
Important Dates
Election Day – Monday October 20, 2025 (also voting for Mayor & Town Counsellors)

The Family Connection Centre is dedicated to building connected and resilient children, youth, and families through strength-based programming. All programs and services are free, and we welcome referrals from community partners and organizations for any parenting-related challenges or concerns. As a central hub for families, we provide a safe space to land when you’re unsure of what you need.
Individual and Family Supports
The Family Connection Centre provides one-on-one support through our dedicated Family Support Workers. This free service is available to all Bow Valley families either virtually or in person. Our team works with families to identify needs, set goals, and build capacity.
